So, we picked the dome fossil, eh? In the land of chaos that is Randomized Pokemon Fire Red, I bet the heroine would be wanting a little democracy in her life.

Well, since this is randomized, wouldn’t be hilarious if a totally different pokemon popped out when we go to revive the Dome?

Wouldn’t it be the most hilarious thing if a caterpie was revived?

All Hail Lord Butterfree!

Can’t wait to see those Team Rocket hideout spin tiles again.

Saint Young Men reference by the way.

A doodle-y comic/explaination for my embarrassingly belated husbando cake feeding joke.

I am the worst Jean fan. It’s me.

I don’t know if the Fire/Fighting is a good combo against the E4, but I think Blaziken’s muscle could’ve been handy. Imagine my surprise going back to TPP to find the Torchic that served us loyally was released on purpose. I remember him being the only member on the team for a while, too. Anyway, jus’ sayin’.

Ah, yes. My second favourite baby. (first place belongs to top-class adora-bae Armin Arlert) But here’s to many more birthdays for this great character.

This one’s transparent, so enjoy having Jean with his snazzy-as-hell red trenchcoat winking across your blog/dash.

Pixel tutorial

homuhomy:

Hello guys!!!! So I have got a lot of asks from you guys SO HERE’S THE PIXEL TUTORIAL!!! urm this is my first time making a tutorial so I’m really sorry but I hope you will find this useful somehow!! //runs (click the picture to zoom it)

So I will be using ShinAya pixel this time! Giveaway!

1. Sketch

image

Okay so obviously we gonna start with the sketch first (unless you don’t need one then you can skip to the next step). I use pen tool for this one and uh it looks really messy //it just sketch anyway what do you expect *cries a lot* So yeah at first I want to draw Shintaro in his school uniform but meh too much black I’m not doing this www

2. Lineart

image

Use binary pen for this. I use default setting for binary pen and also mark “size”. I usually use 1 for the binary size. Oh and if you want to erase sth make sure to not use the eraser tool but still use the binary tool and click the transparent color like this :image

oh oh ONE MORE THING!! For the eyes, I use different layer so it will be easier for me to animate them!

image

so yeah they are overlapping with the hair since it’s in different layer and if you just make it like this, it will have some transparent hair sth effect w

3. Selection

image

Magic Wand tool for this. First I selected “selection source” for the lineart layer and then uh just select it. After that create new folder and create new layer mask. And then you use the bucket tool and fill the layer with skin color or actually any color you want tbh

4. Base color!image

this is the best part!! Just kidding, I hate doing this w but since it’s pixel it’s really easy to fill in the color yeah

5. Coloring time!!!

Okay so first I’m gonna show you how do I color their hair (I use the same color and method for these two) Oh and use binary pen from now please guys w (and I think the picture can explain everything btw)image

^ that should explains everything w

image

And then for the outfit just…

image

..yeah

image

Eyessssssimage

Is it done?? Nah

image

Recolor the lineart to make it more….idk more pretty?? but yeah JUST DO IT AND MIRACLE WILL HAPPEN BLESS THE WORLD

6. Animation

There’s actually more animation tutorial that is wayyyyy better than mine but mine just a conclusion of everything w

Okay so guys, make sure you have the OPEN eyes, SEMI open eyes/Half open??? www and close eyes, in 3 different layers. just use the transform tool c:image

….ANDDDDDD IT’S DONEEEEEE //tears of joy so yeah guys this is the finished one again www

Thanks for reading!!!

How big should you make your art?

thefrogman:

I’ve noticed some digital artists out there who just kind of guess when choosing the dimensions of their artwork. Trying to understand ppi, dpi, print dimensions, and resolution can send you down a rabbit hole of complexity likely to break your brain.

If you are creating an image only for the web, it is really up to you how big you want to make it. The only relevant dimensions are the pixels. Print size and pixels per inch are of no consequence. A 1920x1080 300ppi image will be the same as a 1920x1080 600ppi image. Your screen only cares about pixel dimensions.

If you plan to print your image, that is where things can get complicated.

Here is the simple version…

First you need to determine the maximum size that your work may be printed. Here are the most commonly used sizes for poster prints.

image

Now you need to know the brand of printer that will be used. Typically it will be Epson, HP, or Canon.

For Epson printers…

  • Input the width and height.
  • Input a resolution of 360 pixels per inch.

For Canon, HP, and most other printers…

  • Input the width and height.
  • Input a resolution of 300 pixels per inch.

So let’s say you are in photoshop and you want your art to be printed at 11” x 17” on an Epson printer. This is how you should create your document.

image

If you do not know how your work will be printed, I recommend erring on the side of “too big.” If you end up having to enlarge your work, it could result in some quality loss.
